Savage Recognized as Military Friendly® Employer for Fourth Consecutive Year

SALT LAKE CITY (November 11, 2021) – Savage, a global provider of industry infrastructure and supply chain services, announced today that it has earned the 2022 Silver Military Friendly® Employer designation. This is the fourth consecutive year Savage has been recognized as a Military Friendly® Employer for its commitment to recruiting, retaining and advancing veterans. Additionally, Savage has provided needed support for military members and veterans in partnership with the American Red Cross and other organizations.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly® Employer designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over a thousand companies participated in the 2022 Military Friendly® survey.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees.

This year, Savage partnered with the American Red Cross to make and distribute 450 care packages for veterans at the V.A. Hospital and V.A. Nursing Homes in the Salt Lake City area, and to support military members and their families impacted by the changing situation in Afghanistan. Savage also partnered with the Utah Veterans Alliance to provide needed resources for veterans and to show appreciation for their service. Last December, Savage participated in Wreaths Across America, where volunteers laid wreaths on the graves of soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and the Company plans to participate again this year at a larger scale.
