Jeff Olsen, President and CEO of Boart Longyear, Joins Savage Board of Directors

MIDVALE, Utah (October 24, 2023) – Savage is pleased to announce that Jeff Olsen, President and CEO of Boart Longyear, has joined its Board of Directors. Established in 1890, and based in Salt Lake City, Boart Longyear is the world’s leading provider of drilling services, innovative drilling equipment and performance tooling, and an orebody-knowledge technology platform under the Veracio brand. The company also has a substantial presence in aftermarket parts and service, energy, mine de-watering, oil sands exploration, production drilling, and down-hole instrumentation. Boart Longyear is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Mr. Olsen was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Boart Longyear in March 2016 after serving as Chief Financial Officer since 2014. Before joining Boart Longyear, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for Rio Tinto’s Iron and Titanium business since 2010. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer for Rio Tinto Minerals for approximately five years and Chief Financial Officer for Rio Tinto Borax for approximately four years. He held other financial roles at Rio Tinto. His experience also includes financial roles at General Chemical Corporation and Xerox Corporation.

Mr. Olsen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah and a Masters of Business Administration from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
