Volunteering Together to Benefit Communities

Giving back in the communities where we live and work is something we enjoy doing at Savage, especially when we’re able to join together as a team to make a positive difference! More than 100 Team Members from our Service Support Center recently volunteered at Kearns High School in Utah as part of the United Way of Salt Lake‘s annual Day of Caring.

Team Members spent the day weeding, painting, planting flowers, building stairs, and working in the school’s community garden and greenhouse. Others provided career presentations and helped students with writing resumes and learning about how to apply for jobs and college scholarships. Read more about the service projects in this Deseret News report.

Savage is a strong partner of United Way and supportive of their efforts to improve the collective impact that businesses and organizations can achieve for our neighbors in need, working together to accomplish more than we could on our own.

Last year, Savage was recognized by the City of South Salt Lake as its “Best Business Volunteers,” partly because of our team’s efforts during Day of Caring 2017 to assist residents with major yard work and home repairs in partnership with United Way.
