Savage is honored to be selected as the business recipient of the 2019 Utah Ethical Leadership Award for exemplifying the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative principles of integrity, trust, accountability, transparency, fairness, respect, rule of law, and viability.

In a message to Team Members, Savage President and CEO Kirk Aubry said, “I hope you’re as proud as I am to be part of an organization that’s recognized for demonstrating our commitment to operating with integrity. Our Founders set the expectation in the Vision & Legacy, [which reads in part] ‘We expect that all business dealings be conducted with integrity and on the basis of what is fair and honest.’

“Integrity is a fundamental principle of our cultural constitution, guiding us to always do the right thing. Everyone on our team should feel confident that treating others with fairness and honesty is the only way we do business.”

The award is sponsored by the Daniels Fund, the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the David Eccles School of Business, the Community Foundation of Utah, Utah Business Magazine, and the Center for Public Policy and Administration at the University of Utah.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert gave the keynote address at the Sept. 6 awards breakfast at the Bill and Pat Child Family Community Hall at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business, where award winners and finalists in the categories of business, nonprofit, and government were recognized.
